ABOUT: The owner, Tamra realized there was a need for a trustworthy pet care service in the Los Angeles area that put safety first at all times. She experienced first hand how difficult it was to go on vacation and find an experienced and trustworthy pet sitter that could care for her multiple foster dogs, personal dogs and cats. She needed an seasoned pet sittter/handler that understood dog behavior and had ample experience with dogs with various behavioral issues like dog and food aggression.
Tamra is also passionate about promoting animal welfare and veganism by building bridges between people, animals and the earth. She is the Co- Founder and prior President of the 501c3 non profit charitable organization called Animals, People, and Environment Action aka Ape Action. A major emphasis of the organization was dedicated to humane education, rescue, dog rehabilitation, and re-homing unwanted, abused, and neglected pets. Tamra has been involved in animal rescue for over 12 years and has fostered and cared for breeds of all ages big and small. She is a Reiki Practitioner with emphasis on Shamanic techniques and and has spent years educating herself on alternative health care for dogs and cats including massage, nutrition, homeopathy, detox, and animal communication. She is also CPR & First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross.
Tamra's deep admiration and love for wolves and the passing of her beloved Alaskan Malamute Wolf-Hybrid, "Santo," gave her the inspiration to start Wolf Spirit Pet Care in his Honor.
